Pond Cottages Conditions of Hire
- PROVISIONAL BOOKINGS
Must be confirmed within 7 days of booking by sending a non-refundable deposit of no less than 25% of the total rental cost. We cannot accept bookings from persons under 18 years of age.
- PAYMENT
A deposit of 25% of the holiday cost is required on booking. The balance of the rent is payable 4 weeks before the commencement date of the holiday.
- CANCELLATION
In case of cancellation the deposit is non-refundable and the balance of the rent is payable in full unless the accommodation can be re-let to a suitable person. You are therefore advised to consider holiday cancellation insurance.
- CHARGES
We reserve the right to pass on to you any bank charges and other costs we incur if payment is made in a foreign currency or by any other method not normally accepted by us or if we have to re-present a cheque. A credit charge of 2% is payable where you choose to pay by credit card.
- ARRIVAL and DEPARTURE
Your accommodation will be available from 4.00pm on Saturday, departure time is 10.00am Saturday.
- LINEN
All bed linen is provided and beds made up for your arrival. Towels can be provided at a small charge, but please bring your own beach towels.
- GROUPS
We do not accept groups of 4 or more young persons under 21 years of age.
- BOOKINGS
PLEASE NOTE; only those persons named on the booking form or with prior written consent will be allowed to occupy the cottages. We reserve the right to refuse admittance and to terminate the hire without notice and without refund for a breach of this condition.
- DAMAGES
The hirer is responsible for the cottages and their contents and is expected to take all reasonable care of it. All equipment and the cottages must be left clean and tidy at the end of the hire period. All damage and breakages are the legal responsibility of the hirer and repair or replacement costs shall be payable on demand.
- LIABILITY
The use of the cottages is entirely at the hirers risk. No responsibility can be accepted for injury or loss or damage to any car or it’s contents. Baggage and personal belongings are the hirers risk at all times.
- DOGS
Whilst we welcome dogs we do request that they are kept on a lead and under control (an exercise area is provided). Dogs are not to be left in the cottages or exercise area unattended. Please do not allow them on the furniture or beds.
- FORCE MAJEURE
This booking is made on the understanding that the cottages are placed at your disposal on the stated date, should this not be possible due to circumstances not under our control (fire, theft or damage) your booking deposit and damage bond will be returned in full, but you will have no claim against the owner.
